At One step print, we offer a large variety of ways for you to stand out from the crowd. When it comes to business cards or handout cards, the options almost seem endless, and PVC Cards are no exception to this.
What are Plastic Cards?
Our Plastic Cards come in three cool styles: Clear, Frosted, and Solid White. They’re all 20pt thick, a bit thinner than a credit card, but still durable. Made from 100% plastic with a matte finish, they’re water-resistant and tear-proof.
The Clear PVC Cards are completely transparent and come with a thin protective film that you need to peel off before using. This film keeps the ink safe from scratches until you’re ready to use the card. While you can add QR codes to the Clear PVC Cards, we usually don’t recommend it because the see-through nature can make the codes tricky to scan.
The Frosted Plastic Cards are semi-transparent with a unique, cloudy texture that looks great with lighter colors or photos. They aren’t fully clear, so softer objects might show up a bit more.
For Clear and Frosted Cards, keep your design simple. Use bold colors with high contrast between the printed elements and the plastic. Remember, any white areas in your design will be transparent plastic. Larger text and clean, simple designs usually work best.
The White Plastic Cards are fully opaque and can be printed on both sides. They’re great for QR codes, photos, and text. Just keep in mind that cards with lots of bright colors might scratch more easily.
Why Print on PVC Cards?
If you want to stand out, PVC Cards are a fantastic choice. They offer a distinctive look and feel that’s different from common paper cards and are very durable, handling everyday wear and tear with ease.
PVC Cards can also highlight your brand in creative ways. For instance, a dentist might use Clear Plastic to display an x-ray, a window or blind company could use it to show off their products, and a finance company might choose White Plastic to convey security. There are countless ways to use these cards to showcase your brand’s unique identity.
